Well I'm just glad you posted it LC.  It's interesting actually.  As far as it being in the open talk, at the risk of pissing people off, why do you open the thread, if you're not interested?  ::sgrin::

I am NOT denying the problem on the other side of the aisle....if you will look at my posts, you will see I have not been totally happy with the right either...your statement about Obama's bowel movements drew that remark...

I haven't seen you post a SINGLE thing that was anti-McCain.
You've been very occasionally mildly critical of the worst of the GOP, and some of Bush.

But you haven't been the slightest bit objectively critical of McCain.

You're very likely going to vote for McCain with the same blind passion that aknow is going to vote for Obama

You're both wrong.

You are BOTH part of the problem.

I have said many times now that I don't care for much of what Obama seems to think

I can usually detail out more about Palin and McCain than I can Obama -- my anti-Obama thinking is a little more of a 'feeling' and not so much exact details.
Otherwise I'd be posting clear reasoning of exactly and precisely how Obama is going to hurt me.

McCain I have a more direct understanding of --- just for one, he's going to RAISE MY TAXES on my healthcare plan. My employer is simply going to pass those taxes RIGHT along to me.

I've listened very carefully to McCain.  He has spent more than 3/4 of his time being critical of his opponent.  The other 1/4 of his time he has said "My Friends"--   I am not his friend, and I don't want a militaristic, less than average man ruining America some more.   I would never vote for a lifetime politician with huge military ties.  What's wrong with America is militarism based on lies.  I believe the war in Iraq is science fiction, so call me all the names you want.  It's wrong, it's dishonest, and it's totally unnecessary.  Show me a war with concrete parameters and one with a beginning and an end that can be easily explained.  I'll vote for the candidate who opposes this war and the uglyness that America represents globally since Bush was elected.  And finally, show me a White House that is not elitist, secretive, dishonest and racist, and I'll fully support it, with my EYES WIDE OPEN!!

I didn't praise Obama's policies.

I like him for some reasons, distrust him for others.

The sum total is that I didn't vote for him.

Obama has not said BOO about how he plans to pay for his plans -- one of the BIG reasons he didn't get my vote.

McCain LOST my vote when he made it clear that he'd cost me MORE in healthcare.
And when he appointed a pretty face with as much corruption in her career as Pelosi has. Every bit of it just as carefully deniable and swept  under the rug as anything Rove did for GWB, thus proving to me that she is NOT some "force for change" --- except to get HERSELF on the dollar bill.

I saw her "I'll destroy anything and anyone to get to what my ambition is" the first speech I heard her give -- back when she was running for Gov.

The fact that McCain would sell out like that lost him my vote.

If he'd picked someone like Colin Powell (and shown the inspiring confidence, leadership trustworthiness, etc, that it would have taken to get Powell to agree)

I'd have voted McCain today---

But not only did McCain fail to woo Powell, he actually LOST him to Obama!

Colin Powell had the wisdom, intellect, morals, ethics and plain out and down courage and leadership to make it to lead the Joint Chiefs ---

He has the full respect and "I'd follow him into hell" of 99% of the soldiers and sailors and aviators in the military.

And he--- with all his military wisdom and knowledge firsthand of what a Commander in Chief should be (considering he served under many of them in his many decades in service)

he decided McCain didn't have what it took to be his Commander in Chief.

Powell is first last and always a military man =---

His "vote" on McCains' military skills says a lot.

None of the other armchair generals that supported McCain had anywhere NEARLY the combat experience and non-political command experience that Powell did.

Looking at the histories of many of those generals -- a very large number were Pentagon desk chair types -- men who had punched their ticket for a field command, but little more than that.

Most didn't have half the decorations Powell does.

I don't care what a Pentagon paperpusher who has spent 20 of his 22 years behind a desk thinks of McCain. And that's how you describe most of those generals, with a mere handful of exceptions.

This election has come down to answering the question "who is Barack Obama?" and not "who is John McCain?"

My answer regarding Obama is he is a racist and a socialist.

He wants to turn the U.S. into one big welfare state where government is in control of redistributing wealth as it sees fit.

He wants to control the population by sticking the federal governments hand deeper into our pockets and will step on individual freedom (including the 1st and 2nd amendment) to accomplish that.

That is who he is but the Bush haters have transferred their hatred onto McCain and allowed that hate to blind them to the goals of an Obama presidency unchecked but rather aided and abetted by a Democrat House and Senate.

PMH:  Socialism means the end of private enterprise.  Obama will expand private enterprise.  This election and these insipid arguments are so old and misguided, I'm glad tuesday is almost here.  Our past two administrations have perpetuated fear, and exerted control via fear.  They've sold out to the wrong interests.  I personally don't know Obama and therefore don't know if he is a racist.  The personal attacks never should have happened, and Obama didn't enter into them as McCain did.  For all of his false patriotism, and insincere rhetoric, I believe his real character (McCain's) was very accurately displayed when he ran out on his sick and disfigured 1st wife, for a wealthy and beautiful alcohol heiress.  I've watched him for many years easily losing his temper, making very unthoughtful decisions, and supporting the largest of any interest groups who would pay or support him in turn.  His personality, mentality, and character are not what I admire in my president.  I only hope this election is conducted in a fair and orderly fashion, and whomever wins, I hope the other side will stop the whining.  And I hope Blacks and / or white Racists can live peacefully with whichever way this comes out.

"Obama will expand private enterprise"

You don't expand private enterprise by driving them out of business...with more taxes, more capitol gains taxes, more payroll taxes..etc...you just don't get it.

"McCain LOST my vote when he made it clear that he'd cost me MORE in healthcare."

If that is true for you then according to McCain's site:

From the international Herald Tribune:

Although Senator John McCain has promised to not raise taxes, his campaign has acknowledged that the health plan he outlined this week would have the effect of increasing tax payments for some workers, primarily those with high incomes and expensive health plans.

The 71 percent of insured Americans who get their health coverage through their employers now enjoy a significant advantage because the money spent by employers on their health coverage is excluded from their taxable income. If employers chose to pay that share of a worker's compensation as wages rather than benefits, the income would be taxable.

To end the disadvantage to those who do not buy insurance through employers, McCain proposes to eliminate the exclusion of health benefits from taxable income. In exchange, he would provide refundable tax credits of $2,500 to single people and $5,000 to families, with the goal of stoking competition in the individual insurance market.
The elimination of the exclusion would generate $3.6 trillion over 10 years, according to the McCain campaign, and that money would pay for the tax credits. Holtz-Eakin calculated that workers in the top income tax bracket would have to pay more in taxes if their employers have been contributing at least $14,285 toward a family insurance premium.

Now the question remains sirlarme....are you a highly paid individual? It looks to me that you are pretty safe...Your employer may well chose NOT to charge it to you as income, and still use it themselves as their own tax credit.

Obama will EXPAND private enterprise!!! How, by laying higher taxes on corporations and the individuals with the capital to fund new enterprises. Nonesense!

You don't expand private enterprise with negative motivating factors. Private enterprise expands as positive incentatives encourage risking capital to promote new enterprise. Obama's plan will drive private enterprise further away from this country.

We need to be afraid of handing the government more money and more power.

I don't know Obama personally but based on his long and initimate relationship with Rev. Wright and his associations with people like Phleger and Farrakhan I don't need to know him personally to know that he is a racist.

Well then you don't read everything do you?....I dislike his weakness with going across the aisle to talk to Democrats, when they never do the same..

I didn't want him as the Rep candidate...He is too weak on Republican ideas....He is getting better, but not there yet.

Bush was too soft with the Democrats, and went along with spending when he shouldn't have...Look what that got us.

Now...You on the other hand, have been a staunch Obama maniac...Your constant praise of Obama with the occasional. (I really don't want to say who I'm for remarks) is totally transparent.

Now please go read the McCain plan on healthcare that was posted in another thread...do YOU really think that Obama's plan is not going to cost you an arm and a leg?  One way or another, YOU and I are paying out of the ass for his plan, no matter how he candy coates it.

Read Foxes post......she make more sense on the subject than you do.

You're very likely going to vote for McCain with the same blind passion that aknow is going to vote for Obama
One other thing.....Either Obama or McCain will win this thing...Sorry dude...but that's the fact....Obama is totally unacceptable..McCain is acceptable. If he gets into office, it's a lot easier to pull him further right than an America hating socialist racist like Obama.

Do you understand? It's not blind faith, far from it, it's the easier path.
"

MAN, somebody been watching a little too much Fox news???:lmao:,,, re-read some of your posts man(I have),,, I REALLY think your letting this get the better of you and you might well be a better person than all this...

hell of a lot of name calling and shit slinging going on here,,, too much...

is anyone here calling you a MCcaionite with your head up your ass???
