Mill, pmh.....the point is, they don't need to worry about becoming legal.  The government and big business is backing them either way!!  There's a big "closed door" meeting coming up with the business owners and state officials in Greys Harbor.  The topic.........How to legally hire illegals??  The activists are demanding the Sheriff be at the meeting, claiming law enforcement needs to be there to whiteness them trying to break the law.  I haven't heard yet if the law will be there.  Government has shit on the American and are putting the illegals above us in order of importance.  If you don't believe it, talk to the people who work in various areas of the freebie programs we've given them!  Talk to Americans who have lost jobs because they've been replaced!  Talk to Border Patrol and even ICE!  pmh, you're right, the cause is lost.  The only thing that might get America back on track would be Obama, <heh>  or the American people!  I'm discouraged right now because of what I'm learning out of Greys Harbor.  If the state can shut down a 4 year investigation that's corrupt on the grounds that it would be too hard to stop the corruption, where's the hope?  Our government is the smoking gun standing in front of Big Business!  It's not protecting us at all.  Soooo..... you who stand around saying it's only a small % of the illegals who are causing a problem, or that America isn't in trouble yet better grab your ass cause you're losing it!  You can either go down with your eyes closed, or open.  But at the rate we're going, we are going down.

Dont take this the wrong way,...dont mean nothing against you.you know where I lie with this and I am in your court!
But I aint shutting the FU and letting the shit pass by.If the State is looking the other way,...need to go above 'em.Reason it's getting by is the corrupt assholes with the closed door meetings.
Bet Lou Dobbs would be curious about this.
My take is when I hit brick walls or blue blood obstacles,...I keep climbing.Every peckerhead has someone above 'em and when ya cant go no more, pass the ball to bigger boys with more resources and connections.

My arguments one way or the other are academic. The bottomline in my opinion is that nothing of substance is going to be done to change the current situation regarding the influx in illegal immigration or penalize employers that hire them. Our politicans are not going to tick off the Hispanic voting block by closing the borders or penalizing employers that hire illegal workers.

::sgrin::  Damn, I wish there was a lot more of you out there!!!  It's this attitude that we need more of.  I actually tried Lou Dobbs, but it was Marks story I was going for.  He didn't bite. This Greys Harbor story is much bigger and affects a lot more Americans.  I am thinking Blacksheep.  I'm discouraged and pissed.  The pissed may prevail, and pull me back up again!  Plus I've actually got a person I can meet with here in this state who is behind the cause as well.   I'll let you know the outcome of that meeting if you'd like.  I do love your enthusiasm!  ::thumbs::

You know me (stubborn like a mule and ready for a fight) but wisdom tells me given the current political situation with both houses of Congress and the Presidency controlled by Democrats nothing on the federal level is going to be done to stop or slow down illegal immigration or clamp down on hiring those that are here.

Add to that that every effort I've seen on a local level to address the situaiton hasn't done any to improve the situation.

I'm all for enthusiasm but enthusiasm without a viable plan equals a status quo.

Our politicans are not going to tick off the Hispanic voting block by closing the borders or penalizing employers that hire illegal workers.

Plus we all make sure of that because we keep promising jobs to (voting the) two major Parties into power, guaranteeing that the current situation stays the same or gets worse.

With Government the size that it is at this point, we are never going to fix real big problems without revolutionary changes.  At least, I feel the odds are stacked that way, knowing how people, power, and Government can be.  But I'm no real expert, it's just an observation that seems to fit the natural order and momentum of things, reassured with the track record of the Republocrat machine and how certain principles that constantly being broken with everyone looking the other way for one reason or the other.

PMH,...understand what your saying and I would agree.
That most definatly does not mean to lay the hell down and let it go.Just means it will take much longer but to change the game plan and go after the Politicians and work that route somehow.Different rules, different folks, different roads but still keep moving forward to the same objective.Go around the wall, under the wall, over the wall,....instead of busting your head like a billygoat trying to knock it down.
Tell ya all what,..what will come to pass at some point will be violence and that will get attention. Many people are fed up and getting more and more frustrated. It's gonna blow and people will start to go off.The more it escalates, the more attention it will bring.I would not see that way but if so,....o.k.
Just like the traffic light that never gets put in until accident occurs.
Whatever.
Try the peacefull way and the correct way but if no one is listening or wants to do something, people will finally take it another way.
Big money assholes are screwing us many ways. When the pretty houses or cars they live in and drive start to be targets of the frustration and desperation of their victims,...oh well....
Understand me,....if I had my way,....I would see the buisness's shut down legally under the law.If the law or Politicians or State wont do it because they are in bed with the big buisness'es,then at some point it's gonna hit the fan.
But,....it aint never over until the problem is solved.PERIOD!

Fox,....step back,..catch your breath.
Regroup.
The thought process is most of the time clouded under duress.Possible options and considerations will come when you are calmed down and rested and most possibly in your sleep.
You may have to step aside and let someone else carry the ball for some time.Consider who to pass it to.
You have carried a heavy burden for a long time and had a very heavy weight on your shoulders and your starting to buckle under the emotional burden.
Back away for awhile,Lady.Let all you have heard recently set in and maybe avoid looking for answers right now.
More pieces of the puzzle will fall in place at some point here and you will see where to go.
Trying to put the Square peg in the round hole aint gonna work right now.Need a bigger hammer!
Catch the drift?

Blackship

I've got 55 years of perspective and unfortunately during most of those 55 years I've seen erosion in the social, cultural and economic fabric of our country.

Can this tread be turned around? Yes, but the political forces as mentioned before are working against this change occuring through the political process in place which requires having a numerial and/or monetary advantage. I don't think we have either.

When the political avenue is closed some other means or catalyst for change is required.

The task at hand is to find that bigger hammer? Hopefully it's not our collective heads bang against the wall.

That is excellent advice.  When a problem seems insurmountable, sometimes putting it aside and focusing on something else entirely is when the solution comes to you.  It has happened like that for me on several occasions.  Good thinking, Blacksheep. ::thumbs::

PMH,...collective heads,..yes sir,...most definatly that would be a excellent option.
But banging the heads against the wall,...no Bud,...I have learned a few things in my years and as I get older,I find,...I dont find the act of banging my head againt the wall as a test of manhood any more!.
I find that I get much more satisifaction out of a job compleated and obstacles overcome by Logic and determination instead of busting thru the Jungle tearing up everything in my path and beating my fists on my chest trying to impress..
"Wisdom",...dont ya know.

UTR,had a friend once tell me,(he was into all this Karma type shit and all and I used to bust his balls all the time)that when you come across a problem that ya cant seem to find a solution for,...let it be the last thought in your mind before ya go to sleep. At some point, one morning you will wake up with a direction to travel in for your solution.
Needless to say,...I have had to contact him many times to grovel and tell him he was right,....just for his pleasure,....not mine,ya unnerstand.

I, too, and anti-immigration. I'm a little more radical than most.

I not only don't think that we should have ANY illegal immigrants, I say that any LEGAL immigrants should:

1. Be willing to learn English and assimilate into our culture.

2. Have something to offer in the way of skills or education.

Want to know where I got that idea? The MEXICAN immigration law.

You think think they're all coming here to work??  How about all the free handouts we Americans are paying for out of pocket?  If some of them do work........who's job are they going to take..............  I know people who work some of these cameras.  You wouldn't believe the amount of people coming over our borders.  You think we're doing a good job of going after employers.........read the beginning post of this thread again!  You think Obamas going to stop this???  Watch the link below..........
