Here's a thought. Why don't the Big3 sell out to VW, Honda, and Saturn? They don't seem to have any problems I'm aware of, and their workers make a good living, and have good benefits, plus, they all make a damn good car.

I bet the UAW would fight TOOTH and nail to ensure that those incredible worker contracts would be sold right along with the companies, and that'd make the whole deal fall apart.

VW is building a huge plant here in Chattanooga right now. From what I'm hearing, their wage and benefit package is very good. The difference is in the wage/benefit package of the big wheels. They don't get the mutimillion dollar pay. Plus, the workers are non-union.
