Did you see that footage shot at Columbia University at a speech given there by the head of the Minutemen. Maybe college kids are finally waking up again to the fact that protest is a good way to get your point across.

Too bad they are protesting about the only group to actually be doing something to curb illegal immigration. As usual, college students have way too much time on their hands and are caught up in idealistic mumbo-jumbo. What an embarrassment to Columbia University.

I don't agree with you - it's refreshing to see these young people finally get off their rumps and stir it up a bit. The US political machine loves polite discourse...the kind that they can control through their power and influence. What scares the hell out of those in charge is that eventually people will get fed up enough to organize large scale public protest, thus the administration sending agents to infiltrate anti-war organizations as mundane as the Quakers.

Nazis were also known to stir up shit and subdue those attempting to express their opinions through freedom of speech. It's shameful that a small group of extremists are allowed to use tactics to disrupt instead of debate at an institution of higher learning.

As has been pointed out by another adult, unrolling a banner and screaming is childish and unproductive. This is not decent, it's mornic lefty group bonding. I am sure they were more excited to be part of some group getting attention than having any clue what the core issue was or how to debate it and change minds. Spoiled brats that won't realize how silly there form of protest is until they hit 30 or so. Probably some easy girls in that group so I would play along just to bang a few.

I'm glad that I'm enough of a man to not feel threatened by some young people spreading their wings. It's a refreshing change to the usual bunch of fuddy-duddies holding fixed debates.

Blackhawk, you're a sick person if you think that was a properly conducted protest at Columbia University. They were a rude and disruptive group that wouldn't let the invited guests speak. They held up signs printed in Arabic that said the Holocaust never happened, and at the end they knocked over the podium. These are disturbed young men and women who have been indoctrinated by the radical leftists at Columbia. It was a disgraceful display. Funny how the liberals proclaim to be the great defenders of the right to free speech, but whenever anyone wants to speak with an opposing point of view they shout them down and get violent.

I don't understand the mindset of people who support illegal border-jumpers. I can appreciate their indifference with the wishes of the employed American taxpayer - because they probably aren't one. Assume we give them what they want and just open the borders to whomever wants to run across and cash-in on the roughly $20k-$30k in annual benefits the American taxpayer provides. Most the world lives in poverty, why not just come here and live off the government dole? We'd be looking at 3-4 billion immigrants.
