Do you think I should give this a olive oil soak?

Hi, Newbie.

Nice coin! ::thumbs::

I don't think a soak is warranted.  A soak would probably give the coin a very unnatural look.  Leave it in all its crusty beauty, I say. :D

Thanks Brian. My thinking also. I have had it quite a long time and really like the way it looks in hand.

My close photo just made the Lady look bad.

You could give it a acetone soak..it will remove any crusties that are on there, and not change the color of the coin....other than that, I wouldn't..olive oil has an very slight acid PH and eventually will change the color of the coin.

Think I saw before I don't believe I can get acetone here.

I actually like the coin a lot..........the little Lady looks darn good, to me, for her age.

It's the main ingredient in finger nail polish remover...The next time you do you nails (::chuckle::)...pour some in a small glass dish..enough to cover the coin....Use the kind WITHOUT lanolin in it....
