How many of you have heard of a similar situation? The sales force brings in record income and profit for a company. Upper management gets alarmed at how much they have to pay for these salespersons, so they cut their pay plans. The top salespersons leave for other jobs, the company brings in low-paid replacements, and the company income and profits suffer. I hear this so often I wonder why upper management never learns.
