Why?   Because I have thrown in the towel.  Run like a scared rabbit.  Turned tail and skedaddled.  Capitulated.   Gone soft in the head.  

I have pared down to ONLY my most fundamental holdings that pay dividends on SOLID EQUITY ASSETS.

Gone are all POSSIBLE derivative exposures.

I don't think the Fed is gonna cut next month.

Why don't I think they will?

Because leaving it as is will tank the market and give China the opportunity of a lifetime to purchase US assets "ON SALE."   Keeping rates the same will continue the nice cash flow into Asia. 

Which is what I fully believe the plan to be that has benefited the factions that have profited from the destruction of the "middle" class.

And I will NEVER..... go against my "hard and fast" RULE::rotfl:: of not ever under any circumstance owning one lousy share that can not be traded intraday.

May mutual funds die a miserable death!!

A painful one too.

Miserable "end of day" asset computation.

Buy well managed conservative companies, those which pay fair dividends.

Forget them for 7 to 10 years.  You'll probably be very happy you did.

One of my conservative mutual funds has increased 160% in the last 7 years.

Nothing in the markets is a surety.

That has been my procedure all along.   With the exception of adding a mutual fund.

I like liquidity.   I made a couple sells yesterday.  One in the early morning was very beneficial.   Lacking the ability to get out of the goddam FUND cost me.

I will NEVER buy another mutual.
