I'm in the latter part of my life and need some help, specifically I need $325,000 by Wednesday. I've obeyed the law all my life, paid my taxes in full and on time, I don't jaywalk and I've only had three speeding tickets in 43 years of driving. I've worked very hard, likely averaging 50+ hours per week. Now the excrement is hitting the fan becuase of circumstances TOTALLY beyond my control. CAN YOU HELP?

Boy that's a lot of money Impedimentus.  I doubt you're going to be able to get it or at least all of it from here.  That amount usually means you're about to loose your home, the IRS caught up to you, possible surgery of some kind and you have no insurance, or you're going down with the stock market!  ANY reason, no matter what is disturbing.  The fact that you would ask.................is hard for me to read.  I feel terrible that you need help and can't get it.  If I "had" the money in that amount that I could give, I would.  I don't and can't.  Is there ANYTHING we could do that could help other than the money?  Prayer chain, letters of some sort,  sometimes just talking and getting feedback opens the door for more options!  WHATEVER it is, it's NOT the end of the world, you CAN get through it, and tomorrow WILL bring a better day......................::huggers::

Thank you all for your replies, even the slightly "nasty implications" ones. No, I don't play the stock market, gamble, play "get rich quick schemes", or anything like that. I'm not going to tell my story becuase I'm embarrassed and at my age when you get embarrassd you sometimes throw up, and that is not condusive to my good health. As for prayer, I need $325,000, not prayers - the Religious Forum is for prayer and 24HourNut should know that, he also knows that money is not always synonymous with materialism.

I'm NOT begging, I'm ASKING in a polite and respectful way. I know this is not easy or possible for most of you, but thank you for your thoughts.

While the 25¢ offer is generous, I don't want to take anything from anyone who can't afford it. The $325,000 MUST be a discretionary gift, I won't take it if it is a financial burden.

Thank you for your time. I hope you all have a nice day. PM me for the address to send the check (I will pay overnight shipping charges).

Edited to add: I went to the local branch of Sun Trust Bank this morning asked them if they would give me $325,000 as a gift, not a loan. I was polite, but they said no. :(

I told the bank manager it was only "ink on paper" and "excited electrons on circuit boards", but he still said no and asked me to leave. :( :(
