PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising is gaining ground among expert marketers. One reason, it' can be more cost effective and much easier to implement than SEO. This is NOT an attack on SEO. It can be great. But with the ever changing search engine registration requirements and overall complexity of the process, PPC guarantees one some results without the hassle.

I'm hearing good things about Google's Sponsorship advertising, guaranteeing preferential position at the beginning and top or right side of the search engine pages.

What are your questions and thoughts on these two forms of advertising? Anyone here actually uses either of these? Do you have any insightful advice as to their effectiveness or lack of?
