Not only defaulting on mortgages.  I mean also defaulting on credit cards payments, loans, stocks, bonds, derivatives...anything in which people are borrowing on credit.

I read an article in the paper about the government stepping in to ease credit card burden by requiring credit companies to revamp the way interest is accrued. Which has not been done in quite a while.
