ING has to be the best online bank out there. High yield, great security, very user freindly. Anyone else think so?

ING is a decent bank to hold cash in a cash position. The investor funds offered threw the bank...I am not impressed. There CD rates can be easily beat threw a brokerage account, or just shopping around at your local banks. Also There lending rates on loans are at best average, with closing costs.

But they sure can put a excellent rate on a liquid savings account, love them for that!!:cheer:

ING is great! I started with them in 2000 when the savings rate was 7.5%. Sadly the rates have gone down but yes, they are up again and rising.

This is a great bank for folks like me who live from paycheck to paycheck and need to put a couple dollars away every week. At least you don't feel like you are wasting your money saving it. You ARE getting something in return.

our local bank is giving a measly .50. Half a percent! Aint that a shame?

I'm not fond of the mortgage loans or the cd's either. I got stuck with one of those mortgages that you had to pay the taxes yourself and frankly, it' is not easy to do when you are in my situation.

But overall, Twitchy likes ING

I use ING also. We have my daughter's savings acct there. I also have my "Small Change" account there. I put loose change in a jar when I get home. When the jar fills up I cash it in at my local bank then transfer that amount to ING. I'm up to over $370 there now!

One of the great things about ING is how it was the first to make the masses much more aware about their lame savings rates at standard banks.

we use ING to float income until we need to shift it to other places.  Can't beat the ease and interest rate combo.
