I just got my 401k statement it gained 6,000 in 4 months biggest jump since the slump on 9-11 (I am feeling like a traitor since investing in china 6 months ago) I am thinking of putting alittle in pharmaceutical research with the rise in population of the higher age group my thoughts are that genetic and foriegn stem cell research is on the brink of growth and I would want to buy low............what say ye.

We (the members of the baby boom) are indeed growing older. I'm betting on big Pharma.

We had a pretty significant dip earlier this year and are now setting highs not seen in many years. When you get 17 quarters of companies earning double digit profit increases over the prior year stocks should be more valuable.

Congrats on your increased 401K value!

BTW, how did you invest in China? I'm a believer that growth in China and India will drive the global economy for a while...

I have asked my broker to invest 10% into the asian market,specifically the redberry/blackberry cell phone craze,that is ready to go in China,there is some open trade in that area. And yes I am betting on people getting old and living longer.
