SO ANYWAY, as I was SAYING, I will be planting the mums my wife bought and has had outside in pots into the soil at the front of our house. Or something like that, she said. I have to clear out the shed too. It's the first step in making room to clear out my basement that I have to remodel big time.

Tomorrow I'll be going to the local farmer's market (they have great croissants and watermelon there!) and to pick up some of my and my husband's prescriptions at Kaiser while my husband works on fixing our fence, which was built in 1987. Sunday we'll be taking my mother out for lunch to get her out of the assisted living place for a while. She'll like to have the change of scenery and something different to do. I've also had a request from about 20 of the assisted living residents to bring my dog, Charlie, by for a visit. I've been waiting for the weather to cool down because he doesn't travel well in warm weather. I don't know how he'll do there because he was four years old when we adopted him, and he was never socialized well with other dogs.

So, UTR, you mentioned going to the Rennisance Festival. There is one near here every year. In Sterling NY. I have always wanted to go, but have yet to make it. Have a great time....and even have fun. You are allowed fun, no matter what certain others might think.

I met someone who worked a Faire one summer. She said she had a blast...pretending not to know what a person's cell phone was, stuff like that.

The concert was amazing!  5 of the 6 band members sang lead on something. Incredible voices! with appr. 50 person symphony. And we knew most everything they played, 2-3 were off their newest album which we hadn't heard before. But they played for over 2 hours. I'm not sure what my favorite was, but was sooo glad when they played "The Raven". And Alan Parsons himself is so gracious...he writes all this amazing stuff, yet only plays rhythm acoustic guitar for most of it (he also did some keyboard work periodically). What a talented group of individuals. there was a chance of rain, but not a cloud in the sky...it was gorgeous. We took a blanket and found a spot at the back on top of a hill so we could lean back against the fence. It was a small area, so all seats were good seats. I'm so glad we went. Slavery is awesome!  UTR, how was the Faire? I've always thought that would be fun, but the one near here closed down a few years ago.

it's been almost a whole year since i started this thread...and rather than start another... just bumping this one. I'm catching a flight to L.A. early tomorrow...this will be my last post til at least Monday. Road trip back to Iowa with my youngest!  how about you?

I'm going to ride my Harley around town and take some pics for UTR's forum...Since a lot of us never get to go to the other cities, it'll be nice to see places I can't go, when they post.. Than Sat night I'll be watching my Georgia Bulldogs play Arizona State....
