We have special anti-squirrel bird feeders.  They are designed so that the squirrel have a very difficult, if not impossible, time getting into the feeders.

We also have a wildlife feeder in the backyard which we put unsalted peanuts (in the shell) for the squirrels to eat...they love them!!  It keeps them away from the birdfood too. :)
