My Foxglove plant is my real avatar.  For now though, I feel our country is in crisis and I think it's important to acknowledge that, so I've put my Foxglove away for awhile...........

I never filled out my profile.  (I kind of prefer the idea of things coming up in conversation.  Profiles make me feel like I'm wearing a sandwich board.)

As for my avatar, I found it not long after 9/11, and since Homer Simpson is one of my favorite characters, I thought it was a nice combination.

I used to be in animal rescue and most people know I love dogs. I just happened to come across this painting and it made me think of me...I guess because she's wearing that red cape thing and wherever she came in from that required that gown, reality says she's got a bunch of hungry dogs to feed! Although I'm not sure in the picture if they're not actually wolves and she's Red Riding Hood.

Well, as for the avatar, I think everyone knows what a mud dauber is, and that it makes it's nest out of mud. I picked it, because my screen name is muddawber. I started finishing sheetrock back in 1968, and the joint compound used to finish with is called mud. Scince I "daubed" it on the wall, I choose to call myself muddawber.

My wish to hug my daughter one more time is because on Feb. 18th, it will be three years scince she passed away at the age of 28, from a cardiac arrythmia. She died in her sleep. That is why on another thread about Valentines, I said I hated this time of year. Valentines day was the last day I saw my daughter alive.

I had been searching for some sort of special or magical orb.  I had the idea in my head that a sphere is good for some sort of universal or generic energy source to symbolize my drive.  The one I went with (my current one) worked for me because it said multi-tasking as well, which is something I was always good at.  It reminded me of the Death Star in Star Wars which was just a small added bonus.  The changing video screens said "monitoring" to me, which was appropriate.  I also used to be a video editor so the tv screens fit for me on a personal level as well.  All that aside, I mostly just wanted to impress the ladies with my magnificent ball.
