My husband and I split the house cleaning 50/50.  I enjoy doing the wash, so I do that myself.  My husband likes to cook, so whoever feels like cooking on a particular evening does the cooking. My husband and I both do the yardwork. By the way, we both work full-time too.  I am very fortunate to have such a wonderful husband.

I do practically everything - laundry, dishes, vacuum, shampoo carpet, dust, windows, bathrooms, mop, wax, grocery shopping, and cooking. I'm a lousy cook. Well, except for baking cakes. I make a mean cake :giantgrin:

Yup, I have to say my barn and garage is more organized than the kitchen (but damn! she cooks a helluva meal)

    But to get back to the original topic. Yes I do my own work clothes in the laundry, and The last guy that saw me doing dishes is now ashes in the woodstove.(Freakin bigmouth!)....::spy::

actually, there is a subtle implication that when men do housework they are doing women a favor. i don't see it that way. if it's your house, man or woman, you are responsible for its upkeep. it is old-fashioned to assume the house is the woman's sole responsibility, dating back to when only men worked outside the home. back in 'leave it to beaver' days when june vacuumed in heels and pearls.
