This is about as close to my thinking as you're going to get on a live forum. I still think the good old days were the good old days........... Screw a lot of what the ACLU has become today!! They need a complete overhaul, better yet, how about they move to another country........like Mexico!! I don't think being a minority makes you a victim of anything except numbers. The only things I can think of that are truly discriminatory are things like the United Negro College Fund, Jet Magazine, Black Entertainment Television, and Miss Black America. Try to have things like the United Caucasian College Fund, Cloud Magazine, White Entertainment Television, or Miss White America; and see what happens...Jesse Jackson will be knocking down your door. Guns do not make you a killer. I think killing makes you a killer. You can kill someone with a baseball bat or a car, but no one is trying to ban you from driving to the ball game. I believe they are called the Boy Scouts for a reason, which is why there are no girls allowed. Girls belong in the Girl Scouts! ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE? I think that if you feel homosexuality is wrong, it is not a phobia, it is an opinion. I have the right 'NOT' to be tolerant of others because they are different, weird, or tick me off. When 70% of the people who get arrested are black, in cities where 70% of the population is black, that is not racial profiling; it is the Law of Probability. I believe that if you are selling me a milkshake, a pack of cigarettes, a newspaper or a hotel room, you must do it in English! As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American/Canadian/British citizen, you should have to speak English! My father and grandfather didn't die in vain so you can leave the countries you were born in to come over and disrespect ours. I think the police should have every right to shoot or arrest you if you threaten them after they tell you to stop. If you can't understand the word 'freeze' or 'stop' in English, see the above lines. I don't think just because you were not born in this country, you are qualified for any special National Assistance, loan programs, government sponsored bank loans or tax breaks, etc., so you can open a hotel, coffee shop, corner store, or any other business. We did not go to the aid of certain foreign countries and risk our lives in wars to defend their freedoms, so that decades later they could come over here and tell us our constitution is a living document; and open to their interpretations. I don't hate the rich, I don't pity the poor I know pro wrestling is fake, but so are movies and television. That doesn't stop you from watching them. I think Bill Gates has every right to keep every penny he made and continue to make more. If it ticks you off, go and invent the next operating system that's better, and put your name on the building. It doesn't take a whole village to raise a child right, but it does take a parent to stand up to the kid; and smack their little behinds when necessary, and say 'NO!' I think tattoos and piercing are fine if you want them, but please don't pretend they are a political statement. And, please, stay home until that new lip ring heals. I don't want to look at your ugly infected mouth as you serve me French fries! I am sick of 'Political Correctness.' I know a lot of black people, and not a single one of them was born in Africa ; so how can they be 'African-Americans/Canadian/British'? Besides, Africa is a continent. I don't go around saying I am a European-American because my great, great, great, great, great, great grandfather was from Europe . I am proud to be from America and nowhere else

What do I think? I think there is a lot of truth in most of the statements made here. I also think this spiel has been credited to Andy Rooney, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Bill Cosby, and maybe the Tooth Fairy. It is turning into a conglomeration of opinions that are somewhat popular because being a rebel is the "latest fad". This thing has been around the net millions of times, for what seems like millions of years. Who are they claiming said it now?

It's very truthful and a very good outlook in todays world as far as I'm concerned. I think anything that's relevant to our society, is a good read.

As a matter of fact, if you want to be an American/Canadian/British citizen, you should have to speak English! I can see the quebecois foaming at the mouth over this. The reason why there is a United Negro College Fund and other black-only institutions is because blacks were excluded from a number of opportunities at one time. Anyone who has studied American history can see this. The necessity of such institutions has decreased as civil rights have increased. Unfortunately, there are those who want to continue obsolete organizations and programs by overestimating racial or ethnic discrimination. Is there a need to start new black-only schools? No. Should we allow white-only schools like in the bad old days? No. We need to continue to learn how to live with each other instead of learning to segregate ourselves.

Then shit-can the NAACP, the United Negro College Fund, Miss Black America, Black Entertainment Television, etc., etc. The persons involved in those organizations are the ones who exacerbate the segregation. But ask one of them to eliminate it. See what happens.

If this is going the racist route, I'll jump on that band wagon. I'm sick and tired of every damn minority calling the racist card, when in fact they're racists!! Our country is full of Latino racists right now. And I agree, if there's no more need for these types of organizations or intuitions, then why are they still here? Don't they have a Black Pride day with a parade of some kind? I've asked this question in a thread before, what if the whites wanted a parade to celebrate being white and being proud of it? Seems senseless to me, but none the less, there's no way in he*l we could pull it off. If you look around anymore, the white people are the least racist of all...........

Gimme a feckin BREAK! There was no MORE discriminated group than the Chinese who came over to build railroads in the 19th century. They were DESPISED in the US. This is historical record. (to those who don't have history books on IGNORE) Ya know what the CHINESE AMERICANS (to remain PC) did? They isolated THEMSELVES in sections of cities and did hard work and created TONGS that not only got involved in Chinese businesses but ALSO took out the Chinese BUMS! Yeh. The Chinese had bad eggs too. And what happened? Well, they got a hatchet in the head from the tong and all "whitey" ever SAW was the industrious, the lawful, and the entrepreneurial. You let the negroes (that's ANTHROPOLOGICALLY CORRECT and I don't give a damn) take care of their OWN bad eggs instead of raising a ruckus every time one of em gets hisself in JAIL and you'd see ...acceptance... quicker'n you can say Al Sharpton. But nooooooooooooooo..... "AFRICAN AMERICANS" want special treatment, special nomenclature, and PREFERENTIAL treatment to redress mistreatment of their great great great great great grampaws and if they don't get it HANDED to them, why they'll BURN BABY BURN! If they just ONCE took care of their own, you'd even see whitey willing to let his daughter marry one. Call it prejudice if ya want. I call it POSTjudice. Judging from ....OBSERVATION!

FGP: That 2nd paragraph is a pile of racist bullshit. This country is loaded with racial discrimination making many minorities lives unfair and thoroughly difficult, unnecessarily.
