Hi Scott - I edited out the URL in your post. As I've explained before, it was super long and makes many have to scroll. Please use the hyperlink function for long URLS, I'd appreciate it. Here is a help topic: How to make things clickable Thanks. Please feel free to post the URL in hyperlinked form.

I remember a few months ago someone put a stack of ration tokens that prisoners had to use to get food at Auschwitz. Apart from a museum who the hell would want to own those?, I think they sold for over $5000.

Like the skinhead that Michael Douglas' character meets in the film Falling Down, he shows off a used Zyklon B gas canister with a sense of pride and wonder.

Well, those who buy Zyklon B cannisters with morbid interest are probably getting cheated obscenely. Zyklon B was produced and used as the most efficacious vermicide known to western civilization from about 1890-til 1946. Only about 1 in 100,000 cans would have been used in the death camps, and most of those would have been used as normal fumigants against lice, bedbugs and fleas. It was chosen for liquidation because it was so common, cheap, fast and available. Carbon Monoxide was the other one, and it was not nearly so effective against lice, fleas and bedbugs as Zyklon. A soviet soldier examines the shaft and cover for delivering Zyjklon B to the liquidation chamber below: The inside of the gas chamber looking up at the delivery shaft: Majdanek used both CO and cyanide chambers and was the only camp to be overrun and have the actual chambers be available for examination. Try and use a little historical perspective.

Yes. I am not a numismatist, but I don't understand the mentality of wanting to own Nazi coins or banknotes or the currency of any other oppresive regimes.

I collect stuff for wargames, I have nothing but a nodding interest in stamps and coins, collector plates, or Beenie Babies. I study history, particularly military history and the Violent Century is a fascinating area of study. I got deeply into holocaust history because I suspected the motives of those who try to rebuild the history of the events just to foment popularity for neo-naziism. Regards, Scott

Just because I'm not a coin collector doesn't mean I can't have an opinion about whether or not I think owning Nazi currency is appropriate.
