i have been waiting for a year to receive my Mom's china that i had stored at my deceased uncle's house. i had to fight and argue that it was MINE. duh, it was clearly marked with my name.

so FINALLY i am told to send $99. for shipping costs. (::surp::) this was a 22 lb. box.

i sent it . then i am told i 'refused delivery" and it was sent back to florida. of course i did not refuse delivery! now UPS says send another $52. to send it back to me. :bang9:

i am soooooo sick of incompetence! i was used to it in florida, but this is supposed to be an intelligent state. home of Harvard and MIT.

doesn't UPS leave a note if you're not home? but i WAS home. those guys in the brown shorts might think they're cute, but they're dumber than a box of rocks.

Man, I'd be calling and raising hell!!  Don't let them get away with that LC.  If you refused the delivery, wouldn't you have to sign something saying you refused it?  I don't know, just asking.  Tell them you've been expecting the package for a frickin year, and if you were going to refuse it, why the he*l would you have sent the $99. in the first place!!!!!   Nail them!  Tell them you'll take them to court, and remind them that they've already acknowledged you sent the $99., so the odds are pretty good you'll win! Of course don't do it.  Just bluff your way through............::sgrin::

my Mom's antique Meissen china was appraised at $100,00. 20 years ago. i gave it all to my brother. i only kept a little of her staffordshire, a dessert service.

what was in question was my Mother's engagement ring, i got it and gave it to my sister. she has twin daughters, so this Christmas they will each get a ring from their Grandmother. ::rose::

I heard at one time that FedEx and UPS was going to merge. They were going to call the new company FedUp, because that is what a lot of people are with their service.

yep. i had a hissy too. but they're holding my china in cocoa beach and i can't do a thing except send more money. so now it's $152. for a 22 lb package. i hate them. and all the buying online i do, i will specify UPS does NOT ship. miserable stupid wankers.

OK can see you point about waiting till you get your belongings. But then after you finally get it, then take "them" on "Judge Judy" show! And nail their arses on national TV. And make sure you demand damages for your stress, grief, and having to layout all that money up front for their blunders!!!

the thing is, Cars...all those lame tv judge shows have no legal standing...except the parties have to agree (in writing beforehand) by the decision of the sitting judge. those judges are no longer in practice or have any jurisdiction. i can just see UPS saying they'll go on national TV so i can excoriate them! it's always individuals fighting over something, never national businesses. it's like jerry springer. i have to rely on the state attorneys general. at this point, i don't care! i want my china! and it BETTER be unbroken!
