And is that a major catastrophe??  That we don't remember many people?  If I had my choice, I would forget a huge percentage of the people I have met.  I recall what I want to recall and those who pass by my reckoning are better off, since I would sooner verbally destroy them than look at them twice in a row!!  I remember only those worthy of my rememberance.

I don't give a rat's ass what this has to do with this supposed Mason's conspiracy; I just see lunacy and psychosis and schizophrenia playing their role and corrupting those who are subject to its power.  You and I are not subject to it.  This newbie who has polluted our area with his lunacy is highly susceptible to it.  See him or her for what it is.....AND IGNORE IT.

Truly the only salvation for your sanity....

UTR, that's true -

There is a percentage of people I meet every day who _are_ worth forgetting.

My point is that I'm personally not that outgoing in person, likely to be friendly and engaging in the hallway at work or the elevator ---

The people I know who -are- more like that tend to have a handful of people they wish they hadn't spoken to, but a larger group of people they are glad they know, etc.

It's just my observation that social networking is more useful than it is harmful, depending upon the world you operate and move in. I can see for example, why a cop might have a different set of circumstances, given the reasons he speaks to a lot of  the people he talks to.

But a musician who takes the time to interact with lots of other musicians and fans at concerts, music stores, etc -- is likely to end up with a lot of very useful contacts with other people.

I just think that the majority of people stand to gain overall from interacting with most of the people they are around, and I also think that some people (myself included) don't do that as much as we could, and we end up not gaining as much as we might otherwise have.

I'm not supporting the Masons here just by my saying this, but that social networking IS a benefit of belonging to an organization like that--- the same is true of the Lions Club, the Rotary, your church, a pool playing club, a mountain biking club, whatever.

I don't get the need for the secrecy either, but I don't see the harm in it either, at least not in the big picture way.

I'm far more worried about the militias and anti-government organizations that are stacking up weapons and ammunition, and shooting outsiders that approach their land, and crap like that. THOSE people are dangerous, with their bunker mentality.

Today, I believe the corporate bandits have em outfoxed so much that the lodge is probably of decreasing relevance but still a fine pastime for those that enjoy it.

You are correct unfortunately, membership levels are down, and it is a dying tradition.

Many family members are declining the opportunity to follow in their fathers footsteps as far as membership is concerned, my father declined the chance as did I.

I have been convinced that we, as an Order, have come under the power of some very evil occult Order, profoundly versed in science both occult and otherwise, though not infallible, their methods being Black Magic, that is to say, electro-magnetic power, hypnotism and powerful suggestion. We are convinced that the Order is being controlled by some Sun Order, after the nature of the Illuminati, if not by that Order itself.

- Duke of Brunswick
Grandmaster of World Freemasonry
(The Illuminati succeeded in uniting with Freemasonry, at the Council of Wilhelmsbad in 1780.)

"It was not my intention to doubt that, the Doctrines of the Illuminati, and principles of Jacobinism had not spread in the United States. On the contrary, no one is more truly satisfied of this fact than I am."

The idea that I meant to convey, was, that I did not believe that the Lodges of Free Masons in this Country had, as Societies, endeavored to propagate the diabolical tenets of the first, or pernicious principles of the latter (if they are susceptible of seperation). That Individuals of them may have done it, or that the founder, or instrument employed to found, the Democratic Societies in the United States, may have had these objects; and actually had a seperation of the People from their Government in view, is too evident to be questioned."

President George Washington, Oct. 1798

John C. Fitzpatrick, The Writings of George Washington from the Original Manuscript Sources, 1745-1799, Volume 36.

In 1833 Former President John Quincy Adams Stated:

“I do conscientiously and sincerely believe that the Order of Freemasonry, if not the greatest, is one of the greatest moral and political evils under which the Union is now laboring….I am prepared to complete the demonstration before God and man, that the Masonic oath, obligations, and penalties cannot by any possibility be reconciled to the laws of morality, of Christianity, or of the land.”

Secret Mysteries of America's Beginnings

Secret Mysteries of America’s Beginnings unfolds the fascinating history behind the founding of America, and exposes the esoteric underbelly of its design. Why is Washington, D.C. built on the 77th Meridian? Are the Revolutionary War cities really built in perfect alignment with Stonehenge? If America was founded as a Christian nation, why are many of its symbols based on Pagan traditions? There is no doubt that much of America’s national heritage was Christian, but just as a coin has two sides, our national heritage has a second side – one based squarely on occult secret societies and their values.

We control the traffic lights, daylight savings time, the jet stream, global warming, the moon cycles, what days a certain holiday will fall on, the control towers at the airports, and the list goes on and on. We even control which leg you put your pants into, and which sock and shoe you put on first. BTW, you can have a BM now.

Masons also invented gravity, designed the horizon, came up with the concept of melancholy and put the first pig in space.
