I beg to differ......big time!!  Sure, if you're dieing, all the money in the world may not keep you alive.  It can't keep those you love alive either!!!  Now that that's settled, I think that is one of the silliest statements around!  What are some of the things you'd do if you had money..........

1.  I'd pay the mortgages off on my boys homes.  Then, put some in savings for them.

2.  I'd send my parents on the cross country train trip they'd like to go on.

3.  I'd by some land, and pay for the church to build their own church.......

4.  I'd buy a little cottage on a beach somewhere on an Island!!

5.  I'd take a trip back East to meet with some of you nuts here on 24!

6.  I'd pay my house off, and own it.

7.  I'd put money in savings somewhere, to help family and friends out whenever they truly needed.

8.  I'd take a trip to Ireland, and then Austria.

These are just the things I'd love to do right now!  God only knows what might come up later.......... All I know is, "Money damn well could buy happiness", if you know yourself well enough, and what to spend it on!

Money can NOT buy happiness.  Money can alleviate some stress, it can get you "stuff" but money cannot bring Bullet home and that is the only thing that would make me happy right now.

If money makes you happy, you are materialistic and as deep as a coat of paint.  Money will pay my bills and pay my rent and put gas in my car, but it will not bring Bullet home.  I've had it both ways.  I was broke, then I got the settlement from the drunk that hit me and I was relieved to be able to pay my bills and keep a roof over my head.  But it didn't bring my husband home.

Money can't buy happiness..........But it sure make misery a lot more fun!....::rotfl::

I. I'd make every person's lives that I know a lot better.

2. I'd donate to charity...a lot of the enjoyment of having money, is making others happy.

3. I'd go around the world....visit other lands, and really get a feel of how well we truly do have it here in America.

4.  I'd take care of all the people in my town, that deserve it.

5. Buy me a vintage Camero...I had one when I was young, and I want another one.

6. Expand my coin collection.....It's an art on metal.

To me, happiness is a fleeting state of mind.  I will never be truly happy as complete as I was before Mark died.  I have found that I do and can have moments, even hours of happiness since.  Much on my list aren't materialistic for me at all.  It's giving to others that can bring happiness to me.  The "things" I've listed are all "things" that would give me those fleeting moments of happiness and yes, comfort too...........No one will or can ever be completely happy, all the time.  I would also venture to say as sad as it is, if you and Bullet would have had enough money, he very possibly would never have gone to jail!  That, would have bought you happiness.

I disagree. Money CAN deliver happiness just like any tool can deliver it.

Oh bullshit.  A gun is a tool; does that make you happy?  Your gun?

Or then, I suppose what is happiness for different people varies, like anything else.  The only thing that could make me truly happy is Bullet home.  And since money can't do that, it doesn't buy happiness for me.  If "stuff" makes other people happy, so be it.  I'd be happy living in a tent with nothing as long as I was with Bullet.

Yes, a gun can make you happy. You can enjoy owning and using it. Buying a pool can make you very happy, as you enjoy using it. A grill, a gun, a vacation, better relocation or housing options, a dog, therapy, medicines, a movie rental, curtains, college, whatever other things that can deliver personal enjoyment and happiness. I never understood this BS about money can't buy you happiness when it so obviously can and does, regularly.  It's not just stuff, it's things that bring you enjoyment, improve your quality of life, or facilitate whatever the hell it is you want to do.

Which is why money won't buy my happiness.  Bullet improves my quality of life, I enjoy him and he can facilitate MANY things I like to do.  ::sly:: ::sex:: ::motor::

That's why I amended my comment at the end.  It depends on what makes a person happy.  So CHILL OUT, WHACKO!!!!  ::bat::

Is it "whacko" or "wacko," or either way? I always get confused with that. My spellcheck suggests "wacko."

It is however you choose to spell it.  Author's choice.  I've used both ways, actually.

I don't understand this thread. If money can buy happiness why are all the rich movie stars having multiple divorces, going to rehab, and killing themselves with prescription drugs?
