Some of you may remember the medical health clinic our school was pushing down our throats.  The state funded program that was going to give our children birth control pills, make appointments for abortion consultation, and give out birth control pills and birth control injections, diagnose mental disorders and medicate for those as well. ALL.........with out the parents having any knowledge of any of it?  Well, we packed the school board meeting tonight, and shut it down!!!  The state walked away with their tail between their legs when our school board told them we didn't want any more state or government program telling them how to run our schools, and we don't want them taking away the parents rights!!  Yours truly, was the first parent to speak.  I am so proud of this community, as small as we are, we just gave the state government the proverbial finger!

Several of us signed up to attend the meetings to try and come up with an alternative solution to reach some of the parents who can't get their children the care they need.  This could be anywhere from mobile clinics giving needed meds or injections, to providing free rides to clinics.  Have no idea at this time how it will be done.  But so far.....we won our fight!!  It just goes to show you......we can be effective against the government at our state levels!  You just have to want to be!!
