Zero 7 is an amazing group of musicians who put on an amazing live performance.

If anyone gives a crap, we bid on several pieces at the Treadway auction but went home empty-handed.

This Hampshire vase went just out of our reach at about $400 w/out the 30% juice. Top estimate was $250.

And this Limbert plant stand went for $2700 plus the juice. It was estimated at $1000 to $1500:

You should have let me know you were going to be around, for a proper ignoring rather than a mere de facto one.  I'm quite hurt, actually ::bigcry::

I actually passed smoeone on the street that looked a little like you. Thought for a second "Hey! It's XpipedreamR"! We stayed at the Hampton on Illinois & Dearborn, would have either been around there or smoewhere around Park West where the show was.

Didn't see nobody who looked like Jay, though.

Yes, the hotel is conveniently located on the corner of Illinois and Dearborn Streets in Chicago's River North Community reknown(sic) for its unique art galleries.

Yes, that's what it says on their website.

Thanks, Bob & Ponti.

The Hampshire vase is similar to pieces by Grueby from the same period (early 1900s). A good piece of Grueby would run a couple thousand up to tens of thousands.

We liked this piece because we're both from and live in central Illinois, where corn is king.

We've got a desk and bookcase that is from the same Limbert series as the plant stand we didn't get. Another bookcase like ours sold at this auction, but ours has the original glass and I think is MS65 to this one's AU58 condition:

The one in today's auction went for $3700 & juice, I think.

Whenever I walk past the Chicago Diner, I still always look in the window to see if you're there.  I did just today.

I wasn't allowed to go to Chicago Diner this time. I drag her and our chicago friends there every time we go. So despite the fact that I've got a $50 gift card from Chicago Diner in my wallet, we had to eat at Ben Pao. I got stirfried veggies. Woohoo!
