MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS




     Please consider making a greeting that will be automatically accessible in all your posts and from your Profile!  This will help everyone know each other better and enrich the sense of Community.  There is a Profile area, called "MyIntro," and it is for Member-created Introductions only.  You make some sort of recording of yourself that results in a file.  If you look at the posts of others you will see a "MyIntro" spot - this is where the file is uploaded to.

Notice where it says:

   You can click on the "download" part and hear my audio greeting.  In some cases it may be a video file.  Either way, this is where the file that you uploaded into the MyIntro spot in your Profile will show up!  Members can upload audio or video recordings of themselves for the purpose of greeting the other Members of the Community and allowing the other Members to have a better sense of who they are.

     This greeting can be anything from a short hello to a greeting with business service offerings.  On your own, record an audio or video introduction and know where the file is on your computer or your drive.  Most new computers have a "sound recorder" program under something like "Accessories" that will do the trick.


There is a 5 megabyte (5242880 bytes) limit per file upload.


To upload your Introduction, Go:

My Account > Profile > MyIntro, Browse, Save!  ::thumbs::


* at the time of this post's edit, uploading while the NIGHT theme isn't working (at least for the wav audio file type, but probably for others as well) - so upload this while in the (default) DAY or GLOBAL themes, please.  Then you can switch back to NIGHT.  It will then work for people clicking the link in your posts.  Sorry for the inconvenience, this is being looked into.

Hi Cateyes! You have to make a recording independent of this site - like with a webcam that allows video recordings. Or, you can make an audio recording using a mic with your computer. However you can record audio and/or video, a file results somewhere.

Once you are done creating that file, you need to upload that file from your Account on this site.
