i'm listening to the 4th of July concert from DC....so far Little Richard has sung some hot blues and Bebe Neuwirth (lilith from 'frasier') has done great numbers from 'Chicago', and 'Cabaret'.  very talented lady and broadway star as well as playing lilith. but i'm a sap for broadway songs over the years. :D

This is Talk Talk from 1986 with "Life's what you make it", one of the best songs of the eighties bar none.

I have it on my MP3 player and listen to it whenever I need a bit of emotional lift. This a link to the channel 4 music site not Youtube. The sound qualities better and its free like youtube.

picked up the new album by Rocco DeLucca, "I trust you to kill me"

i really like it.  Kinda bluesy, hints of Zepplin & Doors.

i watched that too, on PBS.  did you notice that after his first song he stopped playing the Piano, but the piano was still "playing?"

i didn't see another piano on stage, but Richard wasn't playing.

Many thanks for bumping this thread Amy !::thumbs::

In future with this maybe if all contributers can go "rule one" (i.e provide a link to a video or something so we can listen to/watch and share your choices) it might prove successful.

I am currently listening to Belgian EMB (electronic body music), pioneers Front 242, its electronic/industrial music with a punky edge.

This is one of their signanture tracks from 1987, Headhunter, a song from the point of a bounty hunter hunting his prey - "One you lock the target, two you bait the line, Three you slowly spread the net, Four you catch the man".

Aggressive electronic music ! cool !

You're welcome!  ::bat::

fyi: In case you missed it...the "Silverchair" above links to their newest album, which you can listen to in it's entirety.  (If you have high-speed internet that is...but, actually I have dial up here at home, and it took overnight to buffer the whole thing, but the day I posted this, I was jammin' to it!)
