Have you seen a concert that moved you? Who was it? Where was it? When was it? Be honest. Be passionate. Be Real!

Here are our top concerts and a little bit about each and why I thought they were the best I had seen. 1) U2 in Washington DC in the early 90's for the zooropa tour - still gives me chills to remember the 65,000 people singing every single note of every single song and especially "One" that was still new on that tour. 2) Seal in Washington DC at the 930 club last year. We got there super early and stood in the 20 degree weather for 2 hours to be the first in. We got to be literally at the stage and dead center. Seal performed his last USA show at that time and went on for about an hour longer then normal, playing many songs he did not usually do in concert. His voice live literally felt like it was enterring out bodies and filling us up. We were so close that multiple times he reached into the crowd and we held his hand while he sang. was amazing. 3) Sade in Raleigh, NC a few years ago. 20 thousand fans at the indoor and outdoor Altel Pavilion. As everyone knows she RARELY goes on tour and only makes about one album every 5 years or so. 4) Finally, I hate to say this, but it is true - Michael Jackson, Bad tour. Say whatever you want about him now and all of his legal troubles - he was AMAZING THEN. The concert and just overall production was incredible. Virtually noone can put on a concert like him. And at that time, after Thriller and Bad came out, his show was awesome. I also saw Prince around the same time, but the Michael Jackson show was better.

A few months ago, I visited Alabama to attend the "Big and Rich concert", with Gretchen Wilson and Cowboy Troy. Now that was the BEST concert I've ever attended. Made me wanna be a country singer. All my recording artist (http://magnumrecords.com - my record label) said they would quit if I did sing, so I had to sing solo (you know, so low they can't hear me). Regards, Maverick P.S. I saw Gretchen Wilson open for Kenny Chesney. She was really good live. We were lucky enough to be at the back stage parties before and after the show and spend some time with her because one of my best friend's wives went to grade school with Wilson and they are still good friends. It was neat to be that close to them and just hang out, no pressure, no performing, just being real people. She was nice, at least to me and the time I was hanging out with her and her band. Congrats on your agency. I checked it out. Can you tell me a little more about the company, acts you represent, etc. Very very cool.

My record label is a secondary project for me. It's designed to help my friend, a Nashville music Publishing house, place his music with new recording artists, and to find and promote my own recording artist. The objective is to discover and package new talent, then sell them to a major label, launching their career big time, while I make a profit for my contribution and effort. I'm in preproduction on a new TV show "Mavericks Nashville Dreams" which will be used to showcase my recording artist. Also, my label enables me to acquire soundtrack music for my upcoming films and TV shows. I'm trying to wrap up a major project here in Florida so I can get back to Nashville to launch the show. that is fantastic. I have a good friend who is very involved in the movie/tv industry and publishing (books, screen plays, editing, etc). Amazing business that I have always been interested in. So you sound like you have lots of concert experience. Other then the recent concert you mentioned. What was your favorite concert BEFORE 1999?

I don’t normally go to them for the same reasons others do. Only twice in my life have I seen one from the audience. Since I'm a producer, I always have a back stage pass and am with the talent. Last one I was with Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. REALLY cool guys. I'm usually on stage, at the sidelines watching so I don't really have a favorite. I like them all. I always have 1 or 2 opening acts for the super stars. I did have a ball seeing Paul Revere and the Raiders back in the 60's in the town of Bedrock (Flintstones stadium - a weak attempt at humor). Regards, Maverick

Maby a little off the genre, but I believe I am headed towar the best concert of my life... The band is called Tool. The style is mostly rock that touches on metal briefly, then flows in many directions. I've even heard them produce some native american sounding songs. I must say that this is one of my favorite bands, and when I see them in Denver on the 30th, it will be burned into my memory as my best concert of all time. (I have been to quite a few too).

This is an easy one EBS! David Bowie every Bowie show I ever saw was ULTRA incredible! those shows are: Ziggy Stardust (my very first concert), Station to Station, Glass Spiders and then saw him 2x with Nine Inch Nails, both times at the Garden. I also saw his Birthday Show at the Garden. Then I saw him at the Roseland Ballroom in a small setting only for Bowie-net members! EXCELLENT. The Ramones who played at the Palladium several times on New Years Eve with The Runaways! Plus lets not forget the kabillion times I saw them at CBGB's. Iggy Pop I never got to see Iggy until recently. Again - Roseland Ballroom. Excellent show and the old man still can slip and slide aroud the stage like he's 20. Alice Cooper this guy still has it too! I wasn't allowed to see him when I was a kid - I had a rotten mother! - so I managed to see him here in Atlantic City. He plays there every Halloween so we went. I must say it was a BLAST! The Who I cannot stress enough how great a Who concert is. I saw them when they had all their members (including Keith Moon) and as they lost them one by one. Has to be the loudest band ever! Excellent! Word of advice....don't waste your money on tickets to Lou Reed. He will only BORE you with shit he did from the late 80's. You know those albums that never sold.....He wants someone to listen to them because no one bought them. Horrible shit they are. So he gathers you up into one venu and forces you to listen to this shit. I got up and left. Last edited on 01:39 pm by Twitchin Kitten |

Good one mummy, and just thing - they are still touring, lol I actually saw Bon Jovi in 1985 or 86, during the absolute height of their popularity (Living on a Prayer & Dead or Alive had just come out). They were amazing. I saw Motley Crew (with Whitesnake opening) that same year. It was a great year for hair bands!

Supertramp and (although I have reservations about admitting it), Michael Jackson! The SUpertramp concert was amazing mostly for the bone shuddering sound, and that the musicians constantly swapped instruments, and STILL impressed!
