It's easy to find bad, low-budget flicks. I want to know your opinion about lousy, big-budget movies with all-star casts.

Here are the ones I can think of:

1) Western: "The Quick and the Dead"

2) War: "Battle of the Bulge" or "Pearl Harbor"

Both were plagued with historical inaccuracies and poor dialogue, but some of the dialog in "Pearl Harbor" made me laugh out loud (and it wasn't supposed to be funny). My friends and I did the Mystery-Science-Theater wisecracks through the rest of the film after we found out how bad it was just to keep it entertaining.

3) Action: "Catwoman"

4) Comedy:

5) Romance:

6) Family/ Childrens: "Thomas and the Magic Railway"

Could Peter Fonda have been any worse in this film? Was he reading cue cards while on depressants?

Please let me know which DVD's I should keep from putting in my Netflix cue.

Sci-fi:  "The Black Hole" - Disney's suckiest movie ever.

A film so bad, your DVD player will never look at you with the respect to which you are ordinarily entitled. A film that made critics run screaming from the theater. A film that soured kids on Disney for a whole generation. It's Disney's first PG-rated film, and it's the first film to feature CGI. It's only 95 minutes long, but you'll swear it took years off your life. Yes, it's the worst of Seventies cinema, besting Star Trek: TMP by a nose: it's The Black Hole.

If "Evan Almighty" was that bad, I won't bother to rent the DVD when it comes out.

BTW, I hear "Windtalkers" was a horrible war flick, but I never saw it.

I don't think I've ever even heard of "The Black Hole".

Never heard of "The Black Hole"!?!?!?!?  Your missing a classically subdued performance by Ernest Borgnine ::LOL::

Not to mention such greats as Robert Forster, Anthony Perkins, Maximillian Schell and the voice talents of Slim Pickens!!!!

Plus a Disneyfied 2001 ending to boot.

I like the Black Hole, a fatalist, bleak, Disney movie !

COOL !

1 - western - I'm not a fan of the genre but the quick and the dead was hardly Sam Raimi's finest hour.

2 - War - Pearl harbour was awful, over romantic, overblown Hollywood tripe, an insult to the people that died that day. CGI wank of the lowest common denominator

3 - action - You mean you want me to pick just one ?

4 - Romance - romance is dead, ever since Brief Encounter with Trevor Howard and Celia Johnson in 1945, romance has descended into comedy, spoof, lack of understanding of what love actually is.

5 - Family - The Magic Roundabout remake - I wanted to share the original BBC translated version of the french classic with my daughter, instead I watched 90 minutes of CGI wank with highly paid celebrities doing the voices that one englishman (Eric Thompson) did on his own one million times better for not even a fraction of the money they celebs got.

At this point my innocence in a way died, a 21st century version of the Magic Roundabout ?, I showed my daughter a video of the original and she much prefered it.

That's true-- maybe it would be easier to make a list of action films that weren't horrid.

I thought the movie "Anaconda" was a wast of time and energy.

OK, I may be in a minority, but I am probably one of the few who did not like Titanic at all.

Ok I may be the only one who hates "OOA" also know as "Out of Africa". I wanted to put myself out of my misery watching this movie. To flippin long and boooooooooooooooooooring.

Ok I will be back with some more..

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up worn out screaming what a ride..
