Willem DaFoe... same league as Walken.  has yet to have a bad role.  bad movies, yes.  but again he is great in his role.  Platoon, Flight of the Intruder, Born on the 4th of July are some of his best works.

Both excellent picks Wolverine.

Walken is a legend, King of New York by Abel Ferrara and The addiction are good sleepers that should be re-discovered.

Dafoe  - "To Live and die in LA" by william Friedkin  and "Streets of fire" by Walter Hill undiscovered gems.

I admire your taste bub.

The Shawshank Redemption is truly an outstanding film.

I'm not a big Tom Hanks fan but I loved Saving private Ryan and thought he was good in Big and The Money Pit. I've always seen him as more of a comic actor personally.

Patrick Swayze is cool in a cheesey kinda way, Films like Roadhouse and Next of kin (where all his family from the Bayou come to help him) are cool.

William Petersen - probably most famous for playing Grissom in CSI.

I remember him better from films like Manhunter  (THE best and first Hannibal Lector film)

 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manhunter_%28film%29

And To Live and die in LA (probably the most brutal, cold, thriller of the 1980's)

Patrick Swayze was perfect for his role in "Keeping Mum".  Great movie!  He's the guy you love to hate in that one.

Sela Ward. She can say more with one look, one facial expression, than most actors can with a hundred pages of script :heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:

LOL... I think this was the first female mentioned, even though the first post entertained the option of including women... although a fine actress, the first thing I think of when I think of Sela Ward is M-I-L-F ::thumbs::

Robert Duvall is now mostly associated with grizzled, humorous cowboy roles, but he did well as the consulieri in the Godfather series, also. I like him. ::thumbs::
