i was pleasantly surprised by this movie.  it had moments of "Oliver Twist" but instead of pick-pockets, they play good music in the park for change.

the sound track is IMPRESSIVE.  the story is touching.  but the music.... wow.

i have always been a music buff.  when i hear good music, i get goosebumps.  when i hear something really good... i shiver, like i'm cold.

there was a part in the movie where the kid plays this Gigantic old church organ.  it was beautiful.   i damn near teared up.  that has never happened.  i have always been moved by music, but never to tears.

it was rather unsettling.

Sounds like one I may have to check out Wolvie, just from your reaction to the music.  I like it when music can get to me to that extreme.  But some more info, please?  I haven't even heard of this one yet.  Cast?  Director?

Yeah, this one looks good to me too! I love classical stuff like "Amadeus" and "The Pianist."

Also, there was a movie about a gifted pianist who got lost and went crazy for a while before being rediscovered in a bar... What was that one?

Wow, Kenneth Turan and others on NPR panned it as a terrible flick. What surprised me is that they all loved "Enchanted".
