In honor of the upcoming Will Smith Movie, "I Am Legend," I'm cueing up Charlton Heston's "The Omega Man" tonight and watching it.
I had to special order it, mostly because it really blew me away when it first came out. The scenes of a deserted New York are fascinating and disturbing to me still.
Although it is showing its age a bit, (come on! The ghouls can't catch Neville in the stadium after six straight passes?!!) I still really like this movie, especially the poignant sacrificial ending, both sad yet meaningful.
Do you think this is the best Heston movie? Or do you prefer another such as "Planet of the Apes?"
