I've been a working musician for almost 30 years.  Played with and known many influential, creative musicians.
Last year I purchased a dvd called Alison Krauss + Union Station.  Basically Blue Grass music with the most angelic voice I've ever heard.  On that DVD is a video called "New Favorite"--  really moved me.  Her latest cd is a collaboration with Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin fame, a real mind blower if you can appreciate dark moods, and deeply emotional music.
She's really amazing, anyone else like her?

Oh hell yes. I love em. I've been to several concerts. Love that bluegrass music. The only thing is, she's not pure bluegrass, more newgrass. Union Station is closer to the real thing, when they sing without her. But, don't get me wrong, she does have a beautiful voice, and I'd go see her again in a heartbeat.
