After careful research (I've had a lot of time on my hands lately) I am trying to narrow it down by picking my ten favourite tracks from each decade. I don't really like 50's music so I started with the 60's.

The House of the rising sun - The Animals

You really got me - The kinks

I heard it through the grapevine - Marvin Gaye

Gimme Shelter - Rolling Stones

Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys

The Sun ain't gonna shine - Walker Brothers

You'll Never walk alone - Gerry and the Pacemakers

You've lost that loving feeling - The Righteous Brothers

A whiter shade of pale - Procol Harum

These Boots are made for walking - Nancy Sinatra.

Except for Nancy Sinatra, I'm with you on the other songs. I like the 50s, 60s, and part of the 70s. Hate disco, rap, and hip hop. Love Blue Grass, Big Band, Rock(acid, heavy metal, and most others) Classical, Celtic. It would be hard to pick out 10 from any era though.

Boy, I'd have to go with the 50's, 60's 70's, and I'd probably stop there although there are a few songs now that I like.  My whole life has evolved around music.  I've always loved it.  I couldn't possibly pick all the songs I love, but for words, rhythm and melody I'll stick with the years I picked..........

"My Guy"......Mary Wells

"Have You Seen Her"...........Chi-Lites

"Groovin"..............Young Rascals

"Hello Stranger"............?

"Easy"................The Commodores

"Lady"...............Kenny Rogers

"My Girl"................The Temptations

"Stairway to Heaven"........Led Zeppelin

"Hotel California"........The Eagles

"Crazy Crazy Nights"............KISS
