Ok, most commercials annoy me. In fact, 99.97% of commercials piss me off and I believe they are geared toward the supremely stupid and gullible. But there is one lately that just makes me grin. So instead of ranting about the blinding stupidity of the majority of them, I have decided to describe one that makes me smile. It's for Dairy Queen and there is a family of 3 sitting at a table eating their ice cream. The little boy is about 3 and he points at Daddy's ice cream and Mom says that he wants a bite. So Dad says, "You can have a bite, if you say just one word; antidisestablishmentarianism". So this little kid, in his little teeny baby voice says, "Antidisestablishmentarianism". Dad looks at him for a second and says to Mom, "I should have had him spell it." Mom says, "You can't even spell it!" I don't know why I get a chuckle out of that one, but I do.

How cute. I have not seen that one, must be newer or something. We do not have DQ here anymore, so I see the commercials mainly on the non local channels.

I haven't seen that one yet, but Dairy Queen commercials are usually good, as far as commercials go. I like almost any that have animals in them. I like the one right now with the little puppy singing "There ain't no bugs on me". And I will embarrass myself by admitting that I like the credit report .com commercials.

Do you mean the guy singing in his pirate costume and the old lady is bopping along while she eats her chowder???? That one cracks me up!!!! I hate the one about the new car, but the one in the restaurant.....I will admit that I bop along to the song in my chair when it comes on.

My favorite commercial was only aired once. It was a Superbowl commercial back before Superbowl commercials were really huge. The camera is panning around a large room, lots of tables, lots of people. There's a shot of a banner across a front of a table that says "Class of (some year or other, I forget exactly when) Reunion". The camera is moving around the room at about knee height when it focuses in on two people talking. There's a rather shapely woman with her back to the camera...the camera slowly comes up the back view...over her shoulder we see a man that she's talking to. The man is saying something like, "No, don't tell me, I never forget a face, don't give me a h...." and he stops here. His eyes go wide. He stares for a moment and then says.... "BOB???!?!?!?!???" It's a commercial for Holiday Inn, and they were advertising that they had completely redesigned and redecorated every room in every property. Freakin' hysterical.

In the UK we have some priceless commercials, most of which don't actually have anything to do with the product they are selling. Back to the DQ commercials, the one I like is where a little 6 or 7 year girl walks into DQ with her mom, and looking around she spots and smiles at a 6 or 7 year old little boy already having a sunday at a table with his parents. The little girl says to her mom who's placing the Sunday order, just make that one Sunday mom. Then at their table, the mom says to the little girl, that was nice of you wanting to share. Just then the DQ clerk comes up to their table with a Sunday, and says it's compliments of the little boy in the dinosaur shirt. And the little girls smiles at the little boy, and then truns around and says to her mom, men are so easy!!!

Here is my favorite from last year. The Guy that is riding down the road in his jeep and a squirrel jumps in and then, some birds I think. All of this to the tune of "Rock Me Gently". Then a wolf or a dog jumps in and eats one of the birds and then spits it back out and then all the animals start singing the song.

Washington State Lottery Commercial! There's a bunch of guys hang-gliding over the hills. They have small animals attached to the harnesses that are soaring over the hills with them..............IT'S GREAT! The scenery is awesome, and the animals all look like they're enjoying the view too.............It's probably tech stuff that places the animals in the video but I love it! Quiet, no talking, just man, beast and nature at it's best........
