Nope. Not yet, my only theory based on the previews is that the Earth's magnetic pole reverses causing everyone to lose their minds. (It's happened in the past.)

but that's not a spoiler, just a guess.

I personally, don't think he's made a bad movie yet. And some of his movies are my favorites like "The 6th Sense", "Signs," "Unbreakable," and "The Village."

it looks to me like he has another winner. Mostly because he adheres to the best old addage by Hitchcock, "The scariest thing is not what you see, it's what you don't see."

In other words, it's suspense that makes a good horror flick, not blood-and-guts slasher scenes. I wish more directors knew about that.

It got panned but I enjoyed it a lot. . . .  go figure. I've seen all the other ones that have been mentioned. Sixth Sense is a classic by any standards.

Regards,

Scott

Nah its not the magnetic poles its..................

Well I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it so I'll leave it there, PM me if you really, really want to know.

Comparing Shimalayan to Hitchcock ? BLASPHEMY ! ::chuckle:: Psycho, rear window, strangers on a train, and the birds are far beyond anything Shimalayan has or can produce.

The Sixth Sense was good and I enjoyed Unbreakable, I thought the first half of Signs was good but the second half was ludicrously stupid and over the top, The Village has the lamest twist of any film I have ever seen for a long time and Lady in the Water was just self indulgent, aimless tripe.
