Ok, the specific show that he's on isn't really relevant to the thread, but Ken is on thsi great game show.  What's really cool is that he has his son in the audience.  Dillon is probably four or five...but the funny part is that he's a CLONE of his father.  Ken Jennings in miniature - it's the most adorable thing.

Ok, at the risk of sounding like an out-of-the-loop-bimbo....who the hell is Ken Jennings?  :dunno:

Ken Jennings won 74 consecutive games of Jeopardy, winning over $2.3 million. He's the winningest contestant in game show history.

Well that explains it! I'm sure I have a subconcious mental block to the name Jennings.  You know why, too!!!   :lmao:

Yeah, I know why :)

It was just so cute to see this little guy there - adorable as three kittens, he was. Jeff Foxworthy, who hosts AYSMTA5G, asked him (Dillon) what he wanted if his dad got the next question right. He put his finger on the side of his head and tilted it, like he was thinking, and then said, "a PLAYHOUSE!!!"

The picture of this kid standing there cheering for his dad to win megalewt so he could have the playhouse just kinda made my night *giggle*

We have a similar gameshow in the UK on digital satellite, its called Are you smarter than a 10 year old ?.

I have always thought the concept of the show was flawed, the subject and nature of the questions asked are on subjects that will be fresh in a ten year olds mind. They questions could be about subjects that a 40 year old hasn't thought about in 30 years so the 10 year old has an unfair advantage in my view.

Am a smarter than a 10 year old ?, damn right I am !, Am I more knowledgeable about subjects a ten year old is currently studying that I haven't thought about in 25 years ?, probably not.

This week they have been having Jeopardy kids on TV..all 5th or 6th graders.  I do not usually watch the show, but it was on when I was at the dentist office waiting for my husband.  Got to see an entire episode and decided I was definatly not smarter than a 5th grader.

I think I got 3 or 4 questions right.  Sad thing was, a kid sitting next to me knew more answers than I did. ::sgrin::
