The Bible is certainly subject to re-interpretation constantly.

Looking at it my way is not twisting anything, it only asks that the verses be interpreted by way of reason, and not empty imitation of how others interpreted it in the past.

king and think about what we're saying, then comment. Nobody's arguments are perfect, including mine.

I have Scott. The Bahai faith uses a method that wins for the Bahai but puts Jesus, the bible writers, and everyone else into a state of confusion.

"God is not the Author of confusion."

1 Corinthians 14:33

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."

"God is not the Author of confusion."

1 Corinthians 14:33

God is not the author of confusion, for sure. Man is.

Tablets of Baha'u' llah Revealed After the Kitab'i Aqdas, pp.

"The first Ishráq
When the Day-Star of Wisdom rose above the horizon of God's Holy Dispensation it voiced this all-glorious utterance: They that are possessed of wealth and invested with authority and power must show the profoundest regard for religion. In truth, religion is a radiant light and an impregnable stronghold for the protection and welfare of the peoples of the world, for the fear of God impelleth man to hold fast to that which is good, and shun all evil. Should the lamp of religion be obscured, chaos and confusion will ensue, and the lights of fairness and justice, of tranquillity and peace cease to shine. Unto this will bear witness every man of true understanding. "

And to avoid the perils of cherry-picking again:

"26What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church. 27If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.

29Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. 30And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. 31For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. 32The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 33For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.
As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
36Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command. 38If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.[i]
39Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way."

The context shows that the verse plucked refers to proper decorum in the meetings of the believers.

Regards,

Scott

The church has weighed what has been said by Baha'u'llah and has found Him to be a false christ.

Is there ANY possible way I can get you to visit a website of Jewish arguments that Jesus has not fulfilled Messianic prophecies and see with you own eyes you are saying EXACTLY the same thing about the situation?

May I politely suggesst you do not place your reliance on the Church, butr instead do your own investigating?

I have investigated and found the claims of Baha'u'llah to be that of a false prophet and false christ.

I'd like to hear about this in great detail. Did you get down on your knees and pray to God to open up yout heart to belief in Baha'u'llah if that is what He wants you to believe?

Which Baha'i books have you read?

How long did your investigation last? It took me seven years to gather enough information to make an informed decision between what the Christians and the Baha'is were telling me.

Answer:

"...and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so."

Acts 17:11

" Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God."

1 Corinthians 2:12

"We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error."

1 John 4:6

Does the world hear you? Is your message embraced by the world?

I'm guessing this means you read ONLY the Bible and ignored everything
Baha'u'llah says. Am I right or wrong?

If someone ignores the entire New Testament is their rejection of Jesus a smart move or a dumb one?

Did you pray that God would graciously allow you to believe in Baha'u'llah if the Baha'i Faith is true? I'm guessing not, but I would like to hear what you have to say.

Does the world hear you? Is your message embraced by the world?
The Baha'i Faith teaches that everyone on Earth should love each other regarless of ethnicity, national origin, or religion, and give up violence and war. Does the world hear that? Need I say it?

Christ also made it VERY VERY clear that He would NOT come except as

"a thief in the night"
and
He would NOT come bearing the name "Christ", and SPECIFICALLY AND CLEARLY warned all Christians AGAINST "false people appearing and calling themselves "Christ" --- Yet, in their blindness, Christians CONTINUE to look for "Christ" by name to come back -- TOTALLY IGNORING the Bible's specific warnings and deliberately and pridefully MISinterpreting the clear meaning of that verse, and decrying it's real meaning.
and
only those people with their SPIRITUAL eyes open would see Him  and Know Him when He came... not just -ANYONE- who happened to have physical eyes.

That's been tried---

JBF is convinced that HE is different from all the 1st century Jews who thought they knew what the OT was saying.

The fact that he is using the SAME methods of interpretation of the Bible that FAILED MISERABLY the first time appears to be irrelevant to him....

Evidently what got people (very likely) going to hell last time isn't going to happen to JBF this time!

sirlamre,

I asked you to read the bible that you quote so often... specifically the book of Romans regarding the Jews and the Law and the new covenant. It appears that you didn't have time yet.

Mostly I find what Paul has to say of little interest. Paul never saw nor did he ever hear Jesus in the physical body, so his impressions may be guiidance but they are no in any sense "Gospel".

Scott
