Earlier this year, I was looking into possibly adopting a rescue cat.  The woman there who seemed to know most about the cats turned out to have some pretty interesting "philosophies":

"StarKittys"

I think cats are very intelligent creatures who watch over and test us, but for their own purposes (proper care and feeding), rather than anything to do with their humans directly. :)

Well, I don't know. I have one "watch-kitty" who literally watches to make sure no interlopers come in the front door, and I have others that I've learned from...shrug...I guess it depends on the person. After all, there are "dog people" ::sgrin::

This is my watch cat. I have two, however, one always hides, but this one - will follow me everywhere and cuddles with me while I sleep.

I am glad that God made cats - for whatever purpose. ::sgrin::

I don't know...............I think cats are too "independent" to be angels!  Somewhere I got the impression and Angel would be "warm" "loving" and act like they "care" about earth people!  Cat's care about themselves!  They are very independent if you ask me.  I'm not saying I don't like cats because I do!  I just don't think they fit the mold of an ANGEL!  Now a dog, on the other hand is inner programed to care about nothing BUT you!  I'd be more inclined to believe Angels are invisible.................they can be with you anywhere or always!  Watching...............

(Now remember folks, what follows is fiction and a tongue-in-cheek look at man and pets. I also have NO idea where it originated, but I got it in an email back in 1995) :)

And God Made Dog and Cat

A newly discovered chapter in the Book of Genesis has provided the answer to "Where do pets come from?"

Adam said, "Lord, when I was in the garden, you walked with me every day. Now I do not see you anymore. I am lonesome here and it is difficult for me to remember how much you love me."

And God said, "No problem! I will create a companion for you that will be with you forever and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are, will love you as I do, in spite of yourself."

And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam. And it was a good animal. And God was pleased. And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and he wagged his tail.

And Adam said, "Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal."

And God said, "No problem! Because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG."

And Dog lived with Adam and was a companion to him and loved him. And Adam was comforted. And God was pleased. And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

After a while, it came to pass that Adam's guardian angel came to the Lord and said, "Lord, Adam has become filled with pride. He struts and preens like a peacock and he believes he is worthy of adoration. Dog has indeed taught him that he is loved, but perhaps too well."

And God said, "No problem! I will create for him a companion who will be with him forever and who will see him as he is. The companion will remind him of his limitations, so he will know that he is not always worthy of adoration."

And God created CAT to be a companion to Adam. And Cat would not obey Adam. And when Adam gazed into Cat's eyes, he was reminded that he was not the supreme being. And Adam learned humility.

And God was pleased.
And Adam was greatly improved.
And Dog was happy.
And Cat didn't give a damn one way or the other.

We have two cats. I think that"human perception" along with the design of the eye and the scrolling and scanning aspects of cats makes us think they might be ""God Spies". :D I of course, do see that as reality nor find it to be biblically sound.

Biblical literalists tend to come from fringe groups that lack the tradition, history and wisdom of the True Church. These groups prey on ignorance. With nothing but the literal written word to justify their beliefs they often stray from Christianity, falling into schism, heresy and the influence of cults - their self-deception justified by the arrogance of their own interpretations of what Christianity really is, while denying 2000 years of tradition.

This works for me Imp. You can put your trust in the Desert Fathers. But for one to believe it is, "Impossible to be saved without Humanity"... futhers my confidence that I stand for Christ Jesus alone. :)

You are free to rant and rave all you wish, but you are not Christian - you are some kind of cultist that has rejected the Christian Church and become self-absorbed in you own arrogance, believing that you are greater than 2000 years of history and tradition. Your entire belief is nothing beyond quoting random scripture.

As usual you show that you know nothing of the Church. You are a Biblical cultist and nothing more - you disgrace the Church. Go into the desert and ask for repentence.
