Funny isn't it how threads that he himself starts suddenly become boring to JBF when any point he was trying to make or get across is shot down in flames ?

:giantgrin::yep:::whello::

Maybe you and your bible need to spend some more time alone together ?, we eagerly anticipate your next epiphany.

Doesn't happen very often, but when it does I'll hold my hands up and take the bullets. If another member used the very words from a holy book I believed in to completely contradict a point I was trying to make about said book I would indeed hold my hands up.

The fact you didn't says a lot about you, using the "allegory" excuse is not the same as admitting you been shot down in flames is it ?

Fear not: if you check a Persian or Arabic Bible, you will indeed see "Baha'u'llah" in there, just as its translation, "Glory of the Lord," is present in places like Isaiah 35:1-2 (along with prophecy of place).

Neat how well that fits. :-)

Isn't it funny how literal/allegory is transfixed so conveniently and used so that "Glory of the Lord" is literally meaning "Baha'u'llah the person instead of it's original Greek/Hebrew/Aramaic language? :lmao:

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Acts 4:8-12

Wow! are you guys serious or kidding with your answers?

We are talking about 2 things here: The Name....and....Salvation.

The Name is Jesus Christ.  Jesus means "savior", Christ means "annointed One"

Salvation is a Gift.--- Bought and Brought to you by....The One and Only..... chosen One of God The Father.....Jesus Christ!

He paid a pretty hefty price for your gift!

Don't be embarrassed.....check it out for yourself. Do a little research.

Check out these books...literally...from the library: The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel  and The Case for Faith by Lee Strobel.

In the Case for Christ, the author (who was an atheist at the time) used the same methods that are used in a court of law.

In The Case for Faith, the author asks some of the nation's top scholars some very interesting questions. Lots of: "If there is a God, then why...."

I spent seven years investigating Christianity. I have not yet found convincing evidence that God wants me to give up the religion I currently belong to and become a Christian.

The Case For Christ, in my personal opinion, does not disprove my religion. Proving Christianity to be true does not prove other Faiths to be false. Judaism, for example, is a genuine Revelation from God, would you agree? Therefore I think the possibility exists that other religions might also be true.

What evidence can you present that God wants me to believe what you say instead of what someone else would tell me?
