The bible teaches that God in times past God has spoken to the world through the Old Testament prophets of old and in these last days has spoken to us through His Son Jesus. He also since time began has revealed His invisible attributes which are clearly seen by the things that are made.

In these the bible teaches that man has "no excuse". :scared:

Go into the wilderness, look around... God speaks loudly. Look up into the night sky, be still and know that He is God. No excuse for the Eskimo. No excuse for the man on the deserted Island. God wants NONE to perish but all to come to repentance and the knowledge of the truth. :) Seek and you will find.

Exactly --- seek and you will find.

 

But do you begin that seeking with the Bible first and then prayers to God second?

 

Or do you pray to God and ask Him what to do first?

 

One must precede the other, since we cannot have two thoughts simultaneously.

Either our first thought is of God or our first thought is of something else -- our culture, our family's teachings, etc ---

I was drawn to the bible. Then God revealed Himself in His written word to me. Prayer became personalized later on and the relationship developed with Him. His word is living and goes out and sees the thoughts and intents of the heart.
