Regardless of the relation to a founder is the question of inspiration by God or man? Since Christ you have no clear biblical references to suggest upcoming New Revelations, New Founders, New Christs or New Religions. If God says that He has spoken in these last days by His Son... then He has spoken.

Any age in which a Manifestation of God appears is the 'last days'...it's the last days of the old ways...a break with traditions of the past and a New Day of God.

Personally, i find many biblical references which not only suggest...but Christ Himself promises that there will be future chapters of Revelation.  To me it's clear as day...:littleangel:

Really Amy? Christ suggested there will be future chapters in Revelation? So the writer of Revelation who was told by Jesus to write these things down got it all wrong? We needed to wait 1800+ years for the Baha'i organization to clear things up for all of us?

"For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."

Revelation 22:18-19

Jesus said, "Take heed that no one deceives you."

Actually, JBF it was only 630 years until Muhammed cleared the smoke from the air.

you don't think whittling the bible down to only 66 books counts as taking away?  ::scratch::  I guess i need to brush up on my definitions.  ::chuckle::

Not really Scott. Muhammad said God has no Son. I would say he didn't clear anything up.

Again Amy,

Create doubt and then you can do as you wish to the bible. Seems like someone in the Garden asked Eve,

"Did God really say...?"

He said God has no offspring, and Jesus is not the offspring of God. It's a quibble over what begotten means in Greek.

God transferred no sperm to Mary, He simply willed Jesus to be created---like all the rest of the universe. The Qur'an specifically says God caused Mary to bear a son not by physical means but my miraculous means. Read the Surah of Maryam to get some basic info.

Many primitive Christians believed that Mary gave birth to Jesus after she laid with God. Not true says Nuhammed. Not true say modern Christians.

Regards,

Scott

We Baha'is aren't doing anything to the Bible. God has sent a new Revelation.

And I have noticed that whenever I ask a Christian who is trying to convert me "Did God really say the things you are saying to me?" they evade my question and change the subject. Which means they do not want me to make a sincere search for God's Truth, they want me to blindly follow their personal opinions.
