I've been so excited to get back on the site and post! I didn't mean to keep you waiting!  I know you guys have been dying to find out, but the semi-illiterate rice field worker that God intended to check translations, meanings, allegorical accuracies, context, authenticity, contradictions, and a comprehensive, thorough check for divine origins ... FINALLY got back to me.

He said "I no no it."

I was like "What do you mean you don't know it!?  God intended these things to be for you!!  The Bible, the Bahai scriptures, and all the other text goodies!  Surely you have a grasp of it!"

Frustrated, I went on to say "Can you at least explain what items should be taken literally?  Surely you have managed to verify the scriptures as divine somehow?  Surely you have a handle on when Jesus will return, and can defend the prophecies and predictions by God to you, the intended receiver of them?"

He said "Rice."

Frank,

Which semi-illiterate were you speaking to? The goat herder or the rice farmer?

Scott

I want to get excited by this compliment but am stopped dead cold in my tracks since you are a delusional fanatic (I mean that lovingly - as lovingly as Loving God is when he tortures people in Hell) who also believes that I will or can be burning in Hell for all eternity even if I am "the best neighbor, dad, good person, help ladies cross the street, etc." because I didn't pick the right club.

..."the best neighbor, dad, good person, help ladies cross the street, etc." can also be assured to go to heaven...

"He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God."

That's my point. You think good people can be tortured in Hell for all eternity by a Loving God, because they don't subscribe to one particular organized religion. That is a dangerous, fanatical view that I have problems trusting compliments or judgments from.

No problem. Jesus didn't tell me it would be easy following Him.

That's OK.  God didn't tell me it would be easy to be outside of organized clubs.

Actually. I think you'd be a great Baha'i too. But my opinion is not binding.

Abdu'l Baha says anyone who a life of service to mankind IS a Baha'i even if that person has never even heard the name of Baha'u'llah.

Scott
