I just read your latest blog and i wanted to say I am sorry you are having such a hard time with your family. Sometimes those closest to you are the least flexible when it comes to religion, sexuality and all sorts hey?

At least you have each other and if others have over reacted (like thinking you called them a liar) it's THEIR issue not yours. They will get over it in time.

Thanks for your words of support Hammy, the hardest issue is to accept that family cannot agree with who you are and what you are doing.  It seems that they have formed their own viewpoint regardless of what truth is shown.  As stated in my PM to you, the world would be a better place if it had a total focus on spirituality than the physical universe.  We, as spiritual beings, have forgotten what it was like to exist as a spirit and have seen the physical universe as a part of ourselves.  Whilst we need food, clothing and money to survive due to being in a body, then we see that when something in the physical universe dies, we assume that we die too.  However, it is only the body that dies and not the spiritual being and that is what is forgotten. :littleangel:

Not that it helps much but I find the same thing. People become so disconnected from spirit all they see is the physical right?

:good:  I agree, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. ::thumbs::

Helefra,

I'm too, am sorry for the difficulties you are having with your family.  If it's any consolation, it took my family several years to come to terms with my change in direction.  But they did eventually come to realize that it was the right decision for me, and that it was a good thing.

Give them time and they'll come to realize that you are the same person you always were, and love you for you. ::huggers::

Thank you for your words of support Amy, if only everyone was like you, Hammy and myself.  The problem with my uncle is he can't see any further than the "front garden" as the saying goes.  If you don't know what it means, it states that he cannot see what is going on in front of him regardless of the truth that sits there in front of him.  However, my mum warned me about my uncle, she told me that he can "go off on one" and take things literally. :littleangel:
