Well, I just finished with Summer School, and now I'm getting my room ready for the new school year which starts in just a week and a half.  Not only that, but I'm firing up the computer to recruit teachers for night school!

So how about you?  Do you have any kids going back to school?  Did you already buy supplies? Got any advice for others on the subject?

One thing I'd like to mention:  It's fine that the kids want to have their own "identity" with their clothing, but please make sure that it meets your local school's dress code.

I don't think some parents realize that since the boys I am teaching are about 90% hormones, its difficult to get them to look at the board and the teacher when the little girl next to them is showing about 75% bare skin.

I'm glad my daughter's school has uniforms. That way she can spend her time in the morning checking to see if her homework is all done and to eat breakfast, not to waste an hour deciding what to wear.

I'm also glad my daughter's only in first grade. I don't have to buy a shotgun just yet.
