A few years a go I worked for a construction company that hung ductwork and installed heating systems. on the crew we had a guy that worked on my crew, let's call him "Harold".

Harold was hanging a pc. of duct at the end of the day, and was rushing to get done as it was around 4pm and he was sick of working. As he was setting the last pc of duct a chunk of metal let go and barely touched him on the top of his head (he had just taken off his hardhat).

We thought that he got whacked fairly hard and was expecting some blood (or at least some stitches), well Harold did'nt even flinch he looked around like nothing happened but we knew something was wrong, the top of his head was "green" he did not seem fazed but we were all like "what the hell is that!" Our jaws dropped and we were freaking out at the color of his head.

Harold did not feel a thing as his scalp was found later. It seems that unkown to us Harold had a metal plate in his head and the green that we were seeing was a infection that had formed under his scalp. The smell was horrible and later we found out that if Harold had not been "scalped" the infection on top of his cranium would have killed him in 3 days.

The reason I remember this crazy story is that Harold stopped by a few days ago to fill out a job app..................::shock::..........and it all came back to me.
