Well my mom even though she knew she was dying wanted to make an impact on the kids she taught, so when she did die she could know that her teaching may of helped some of the kids, only she had no idea of how much her teaching helped those kids Thre was no regret from her about her choice of becomming a teacher or the choices she made in her life, she was one who just went with what she thought was right, funny thing is that not even her deadly illness could stop her from teaching and being a mom There were days she felt bad but somehow found the energy to goto work and be a mom, now she was on meds to try and control the cancer but all the meds did was ease the pain she was in, she accepted her fate without any second thought and focused on her job and us kids she never focused on herself that wasn't her style, she wanted to give us kids a good start in life and help her students reach their dreams She knew that her time was short and she made the best of her time by helping others, she made a promise that even she knew was impossible to keep, she said that she'd see me finish high school, but deep down we both knew that she was going to die before that time, but she made me promise to finish high school and to be myself , she wanted me to find pure happiness, so i carried out that promise i finished high school, found pure happiness, and made choices that others hated or disagreed about but that was the other part of my promise to be myself Sad thing is that she will never meet rina, she would of loved rina for her kindheart, charming personailty, and blunt honesty, she would of seen that rina was a person who knew what she wanted from life and went for that goal no matter what That's the type of person my mom was So may her spirit watch over those who teach and help those who want to learn RIP: nancy dickerson
