Thank you for your recent post, Hamster!  I enjoyed the topic very much.  This statement, and your commitment to following your bliss, particularly drew me:

Any negative emotion prompts us to change course-or at least it should do. It is a message that we are not heading in the right direction. And do we ever listen and take heed?

You are so right!  I like to look at these negative emotions (or negative events) as confirmations from God that I am NOT following the right path.  Life should be something we experience with joy, even the times that feel particularly hard and punishing.  After all, we choose our path therefor we should accept it joyously.  If we cannot live the ups and downs of life with joy, clearly we are on the wrong tributary of life.  Or so I believe.

I like your use of the term "bliss", just as Joseph Campbell intended it.  He is one of my heroes, that lovely recorder of myths past and present, a man who recognized the "hidden hands" at work in his life.  I am sure you saw the interviews he conducted with Bill Moyers.  I have read most of Campbell's books.  He was a lovely soul.  Though He did not use the traditional names we have for God, he definitely recognized His presence.

Here is a nifty quote from Campbell for the Helen-Hamster:

If you follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Wherever you are -- if you are following your bliss, you are enjoying that refreshment, that life within you, all the time.
Nifty, huh?

So...in conclusion...I say:

Go Hamster, go!

:D

Thanks Britt!

I've heard it described so many times and in so many ways: helping hands, God, universal consciousness, God Force, bliss, divinity etc. In the end whatever we call it we have all felt its helping hand one time or another.

I know that things tend to go wrong when I am not in bliss and the opposite is also true.

I am free and happy now after some turmoil and I wake every morning with  a smile! How many adults can say that-really?

I am strongly drawn to things that make me happy as it just bring more happiness. It never fails to astound me how from "nothing and from no way" a way will be made to achieve what you want and need. As long as you stay happy, smiling and blissful!

It's good to know it had an impact as I just tend to write in my blog to run ideas round my head. Thanks!::thumbs::
