Well found this part of a shell while digging into a limestone shelf



Was hoping for more then this piece but there wasn't anything really worth having in the limestone shelf

Colin, i used to go fossil hunting in some cliffs in maryland with my Dad. we found some great stuff! in fact, i saved it all and when my kids had science projects at school i would help them display them. they always got an "A". :D as for shells, that's an art here in florida.

Well so far in that area i have recovered 7 shell fragments

Plus recovered in the same area

1 large shell intact

2 small shells intact

2 shells enbedded in rock

Nothing really big to date

But i do fossil hunting as a way to relax and unwind
