The personal mark of the famous and revered has always attracted collectors. Here are a few abbreiviations used in collecting Autograghs. ALS...........Autogragh Letter Signed( A letter handwritten by the person who signed it) LS.............Letter Signed (A letter written or signed by another person) PhS...........Photo Signed Cut Sig......Cut Signature (A signature cut from a letter,book or other source) Authors Authors letters have always been a favorite. Presidential letters and Autograghs are among the most valuable. George Washington was a prolific writer. His autograghs are often offered at auctions. Dwight Eisenhower, however rarely took a pen to hand. An Eisenhower ALS is worth mor than a George Washington ALS. Beware the auto-pen as after 1960 this device was often used in the White house and has been used in a vast majority of letters since. George Washington  Eisenhower  Autograghs to me seem to make the Icon more real and human, hopefully with a little luck your autogragh will mean something to someone someday.
