Yes i've had this since 2002, use it sometimes to look at the stars or see what my dogs are after

Night vision cameras don't take photos they are used in the armed forces, cops use them, hunters use them in hunting, others use them to star gaze

the good thing about these types of items they are fairly cheap, most will cost around $100 to $200, the better ones will be pricey, mine is a common type sold in sporting good stores

famous trials is the better brand of night vision cameras, this one i have as a anti bloom which means if the light gets to bright it shuts off, i think nowadays most have this anti bloom on them

Lelen got me this one for my B-day, i used to have one in the Philippines but figured getting that though US customs would be a problem since i bought it on the black market so i gave that one to my Brother in law who is a cop in the Philippines

You can buy these over the internet or at wal-mart or any sporting good store they are neat to own and as i said" faily cheap" depending on what types you want

It would be cool to check out the critters in my yard. Do you use them to check out animal life out there in Abilene? Sometimes I'm up after 2pm and am wondering about why they would work star-gazing. Do they bring out stars that would not be seen naturally?

i wish we don't have much wildlife out here now since the place has been built up

That simple stars make light sometimes you can't see the light cause it's so faint, these night vision cameras take what light there is and multiply it to where you can see the stars, i've seen some very dim stars with this

And that goes for any sort of dim lighting these cameras enhance that light to where you can see
