And I have way too many of them.  I love cars in general, so miniature cars are a natural to be interested in, not only for playing with, but also for collecting (well, who says that's not playing with them too?! ;) We get older but we still play with cars.).  One thing I've noticed about them is that though the cars might theoretically have a large retail value, it's enormously difficult to get your money out of them; they're very illiquid.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. -Matthew 22:37-39

I have a bunch of the Hot Wheels Treasure Hunts, which I think I'll be selling.  They take up a lot of room.

I have about 1500, from the late 1950s to the early 1990s.  About half are Matchbox, the rest are Hot Wheels and Majorette, Johnny Lightening, Yatming, TootsieToys, Tonka, and many others.  Most of the cars from the early 90s are in blister packs or original packaging, though many early Matchboxes I have are also in original boxes.

Does anyone know of any good reliable sources of information for these cars, especially with a view to sell them and not get reamed in the process?  I've been looking to sell these cars to finance other interests, but so far circumstances haven't allowed me to find a proper method or venue to liquidate them.  BTW, if anyone is interested in buying my cars, I'll only sell the whole collection as a whole.  I guess ebay is the only way to go, but that's a very labor-intensive avenue.
